TINJAUAN KRITIS TENTANG KEBIJAKAN PENYELENGGARAAN PERKULIAHAN BILINGUAL DI FITK IAIN SURAKARTA

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pendekatan dan model program perkuliahan bilingual yang dikembangkan di FITK, mengetahui tantangan, mengetahui kesulitan yang muncul dan upaya penyelesaian kesulitan yang muncul pada penyelenggaraan perkuliahan bilingual FITK IAIN Surakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis dokumen, observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hanya jurusan PAI yang menyelenggarakan perkuliahan bilingual untuk mata kuliah Ilmu Pendidikan Islam (IPI). Model perkuliahan bilingual yang ada di FITK termasuk ke dalam weak form of bilingual education atau model kelas bilingual lemah karena pada dasarnya masih dilaksanakan dengan monolingual. Tantangan yang dihadapi adalah pengembangan kurikulum dan materi, sumberdaya manusia yang terdiri dari tenaga pendidik dan mahasiswa serta output dan penilaian. Adapun kesulitan yang dihadapi Fakultas dalam penyelenggaraan program bilingual adalah; (1)kebijakan yang belum siap dilaksanakan akan tetapi sedikit dipaksakan (2)kurangnya koordinasi pada tingkat jurusan untuk merespon kebijakan dari fakultas, (3)kurang tajamnya analisis daya dukung pelaksanaan perkuliahan bilingual.

Abstract
Children folklore is traditional art that contains practically all of the principal genres of tradition, including games, narrative, many kinds of songs, customs, and material culture literature, and are passed on in large part through oral communication and example. It shares ideas and values of groups of societies. By understanding game’s rules or literary structure, children learn some fundamental aspects of cooperation and strategy as integral/ one part in developing Children’s emotional development. Morever, recently many children grow up with unstable social and emotional competence. This study is aimed at improving the social emotional competence of children using Javanese folklore. The method used in this study is action research method with the model developed by Kurt Lewin. It was conducted at KB-TPA Ayah Bunda, Colomadu, Karangayar. There are seven children having social incompetency. Folklore was applied in teaching learning process for two cycles. The technique of collecting the data was observation and interview. The data were analyzed by using a model developed by Caldarella and Merrel. The assessment includes peer relationships, self management, academic, compliance, and assertion. The result shows that there is an improvement in children social emotional competence. From all the subjects, 6 children show improvement on affect scale especially on five categories of assessment, especially on self management aspect, but only one child shows significant improvement of assertion aspect and one child had not showed improvement, since the subject often missed the program. It can be concluded that folklore can stimulate peer relationship and self-management among children.

Studying literature is like pearl that spreads. Literature teaches many values that can give inspiration and motivation toward the students. A research that was done by David McClelland showed that an advanced country could develop fast because the society often heard the tales about the need for achievement (n-Ach).  Besides, studying literature is aimed at preparing the personal growth, understanding the product of culture, helping to enrich and deepen the students’ sensibility, having a greater tolerance for cultural differences, learning how to appreciate, decide, and judge. Regrettably, if these values are not taught to the students, they will lose the chance to feel sensitiveness and have a good intuition in the real life. This research was Classroom Action research conducted at the five grade of English Education Program IAIN Surakarta. This research was aimed at explaining the concept of sharpening students’ intuition through literature in language teaching. Besides, this research also explained the impact of studying literature for the students. This research revealed that the concept of sharpening students’ intuition consists of comprehensive materials and integration between knowledge and science in language teaching. The impact of studying literature showed that students had a better understanding about values found in literature, they behave more polite than ever before, and they had a great desire to get a good achievement.

Yellow sky

     December, I am here. I am listening your voice. I am figuring out your feels. In your name of this decade, you feel lonely. They all have gone and never back again. You lost them forever. Now, I am going to tell you. My heart is screaming, hoping love next to me. You know how I love so much. Where is him. Where is his vow?
            Now, I hear nothing his voice, his sexy tone, his funny laugh. The last voice that I hear was so sweet and smooth. He said “I love you”. He was he that I know. I am sitting down here, in the edge of my favorite pool where the cherry’s flowers are spreading in the air, waiting for someone special, Tom.
            When the sky was blue, when the rain would not fall in the long period, I wrote a letter in the yellow envelope. I wished that he read it with all of his heart. I tell my love on latters. He was Tom, my only Tom in my entire life.
            The first time, I saw him I know that there is special. My body was trembling. We were friends for three years in the same class. We met in April, when he passed the same door of the same class where we study for the next three years. From that day, I could see his face, hear his voice, smell his apple aroma every single day.
            The next April, in the edge of my favorite pool, I sit down on a large stone. I draw a butterfly which was flying in the yellow sky. Then, Tom was coming next to me. I felt the earth crushed the sun at that time. He called my name.
“Lenny, what happen with that sky?” his tone was so please, and his face was very fresh with the willing smile on it. I said nothing for a moment.
“I said, what happen with that sky?” he repeated his words.
“Yeah… this butterfly…. I wish…”
“That’s a beautiful butterfly, isn’t it?” he smiled again. The apple aroma is flowed by the wind.
“Um….you know that it likes flying. I wish that it can make friend with the sky.”
“Yeah, I ever heard that yellow means friendship, right?”
“Actually, last night I watched the theater in which was telling about yellow rose as the friendship symbol.”
“How is about love?”
“Love is love. It depends on you. Even, this picture can be my love’s symbol for you.”
“Cool. So, you would say that you are going give this picture to me to say you love me?”
“What will you do if I do it?”
“May be I’ll considerate it,” he smiled again and step away from that sweet pool.
            Anne, the charming girl with the bright skin and black long hair came to our class with Tom. She was in our class since one month ago. She was Tom’s cousin. Though, she was always beside Tom. She had the willing sweet smile as Tom had.
            In the next Sunday, Tom came again in my favorite pool. Sometimes, I wanna know why he never talked to me in class, but he was so please to me in this place.
“What do you think of me?” I talk first.
“Special,”
“Why you never talked to me in class?”
“For my special girl, I just can share with you in the special time also.”
“Could you give me your yellow sky?”
He smiled to me.  
            In the next day, I decided to send him my yellow sky and a letter to tell that I love him. Though, I did not see Tom. I give my picture to Anne. I trust to her. She looked nice and please. Anne promised me to give it to Tom.
            That Sunday, is the last time I see Tom. He never appeared again in the class and also in my favorite pool. I missed him so much. I did not get any replied letter from Anne. Finally in the last semester, Anne met me, she gave a letter in yellow envelope to me. I cry in my heart after read that. I only figured out the words saying that his heart was apart. He did not know if she loved me or not. But, in the last words, he said that he would give me the answer two years later in the sweet pool.
            December, after two years I accept his letter, I wait for him. But, he never come. He broken his own vow. I cry. I lock my self in my room. In my table, I find a letter in yellow envelope. It is sent by post office this morning. That is from Tom. In that letter, he said that he never accept my yellow sky, so he never appear in front of me again. There ia another sheet in that envelope. It said Tom Watson weds Anne bella.

Students' Work




A lonely night, there was a girl. She lived without somebody to love, but she has  much of love for  somebody in her live. She saw  the star, there was a lot of star  that made a good formation. Then she thinked, “ Why din’t I made a good  formation as your beautiful star, God?”. Then she took  a  her pink note book, and opened it. There was written  “ There was  a light in a darkness, there was a way to climb the montain and the key is one: motivation and hardness”.
Liony Rose, the little girl lived a little house without mom, dad or another. Had no grade, had no school but always had a chance for her knowledge. Live was her knowledge, world was her grade, animal and grass in front of her house was her teachers. She learned a lot from this live.  Her days were always looking for wood to cook some food, or made some ceativity from beautiful flowers or leaves.
One day,  She went to jungle for hunting some animals. During her travel she thinked and asked to God” God why you created a human like me? Was there any people in this world? Why were I always lonely?” In the middle or thinking, the little rabbit crossed over her. Then she cut her mind and ran to arrest the rabbit. She pointed the shot to the rabbit, but she failed and the rabbit runned. She let the rabbit went then she took a rest under the big tree. She played her flute to happy her self. On her resting time, surprisingly, the rabbit came to her and looked to Liony eyes as someone who wanted to tell something important. Liony was surprised, she wanted to hunt this rabbit but the rabbit so beautiful and it was like having a hope from her. Then she looked to rabbit’s eyes and the rabbit greeted  her. Liony was surprised,  then she just knocked her head. After Liony greeted the rabbit also, the rabbit moved to her hand and kissed her hand, then gave a signal to her for coming with the rabbit and joined the rabbit’s journey but Liony didn’t understand yet what  was the rabbit’s meaning. the rabbit repeated her signal until Liony understood what the rabbit’s  mean.
They traveled  the juggle, crossed the big river, altough she didn’t  understand what this white rabbit did for her. She just followed the signal. On their way, they met with a crowded junggle corn and crossed over the juggle.  After the end of juggle corn, one more she was surpised with the scene of the world. She never looked it before. There was a big  street with crowded by transportation. “ God what is this ?” she asked to god. Realy, it was sceen that never she wacthed before. She looked round the street then she saw a human that same with her.
Beside of road she saw the bus, but she did’t know the name, she saw the big bulding that she never saw before. She saw the beautiful park, but she thiked that park in this palce was smaller than she had. She saw al big house with a good shape and color, it wasn’t same with her house, just a line of wood. Then she saw a little son, and girl in the midlle of road brought a cup and asked a coin to every people in the transportation while singing.    
“Was this a real society?”, she aked to white rabbit, but the rabbit already lose. “Oh, What shoud I did here?” she walked and walked, then ske made a desition. The best thing that I must did was asked to that child. Then she crossed the road and stay in the middle it met with the child. “ What are you doing?”, she sked to her. “what? Pardon me”. “What are you doing?” she repeated her question. The child of road walked and sat in the little park of road, “ you didn’t know what am I doing?”, “Honestly, I don’t know”, Leony answered her question. “Ok, you can see that there are a lot of child here asking for money from the road.” “Why you asking money coin from the road?”, “ Oh, You think this is Shamed, right? But thi is what we can do for survive our life”. “ survive the living? Why must you use the coin to survive your living?”. “ Sorry, You never saw the child like me before?”. “ Not yet”. “Ok, then what are you doing to survive your life? You must  be have a dad or mom in your life, that so sweet right?”. “ what? Dad and mom? I  don’t have them. I life with my self in the little cottage, I may have them but I dont remember anithing”, Liony asked her question. “ oh, I’m soory, then how you survive for your life?” “ I life in jungle, I can survive my life with the plant at the junggle and I cook it. That way of mne to survive my life”. I have no family but all of animal there ae my friend thn all of plant are my friend this world is my parent and experiences are my techer.” “ oh, thats why u wear a kulit rusa for your dress”. “ya, but I loose my why to jungle, beutiful rabbit taken me here, and I don’t know the way to go there, uhh”. She looked sad. “ Don’t be sad, I will help you to life here”. He child of road smiled and talked to him. “ Thank you...” she answered the child.   
 After Sunset has disapear, the child of road invited hed to her house, there was three person in their house. “ Let me introduc them, this is Aurel, and Aura my twins sister”. “you all life here together?” “ yes, of course, this is my lovely sister, she’slike our mother”, Aurel answered. “ oh so sweet... oh these are your books collection? ” , “ Yes We love a  books, but its so difficult to buy it”, Aura answered with the sad face. “ riend, you’re so lucky for having many books, I just have one books, and I don’t know where was the book from”. 
“Dinner is coming ... “, twins’s sister brought a little menu for dinner. Then they sat at the small plaited mat. “Mmm, are you always be singging begar every day?” “ yes, we are”. “ that so cool, great..! By the way, you don’t introduce your self, who are you?” Liony wondered. “ Oh I’m Arrna, wait, did you say Great? Great for being singing beggar?” “yes you are all great”. “ Do you now, a lot of people think that the singing beggar is disgusting, don’t have price.” “ yeah, and a lot of people yelling at us, when we ask money to them after singing”. “Oh, God.. but You are graet, you make some money from your hand nd you have hard effort to buy the books , that your goal  beside the food,ringt... and I just make a little effort”. “ yeah,  In my mind I always am thinking,that some day I can buy a lot of book and stand the library for them child of the road” Arrna answered hopingly.  “ oh, then why don’t we make more money and buy a lot of books?” “ yea,you’re right but how? We are just akind of dunk”, Aura said. “ hush,What did you say? We have a big potencial to make it true.  you see me!”, Liony said. “Then?” Aurel shut to her. “ You see me, I wear a skin cloth, in my mind if we sell this cloth wi’ll get alot of money”. “ Briliant!” Aurel shut, “but where we get them?”. ” Let,s go to my cottage!”, Liony ivited them to go her cottage.  “ You mean, Junggle?” Arnna asked to her. “Yes,Right!” “ I love chalange”, Aurel shut with happy face. “ Is that so scared?” Aura scared. “ Just try and be brave! We’ll get them”.
In the morning when the sun didn’t coming up, they traveled the road until find the  corn field, the place where Liony  saw the miracle of world. Then crossed the field until they finded the junggle.  In the middle in their journey, “ look, what I make? I’m like a princess”, Aura Shut to her sister, with the pyramid that she made from grassess and flower. “ Realy beautifull, hey, why don’t we make it and sell it?” Arrna have new Idea. Then the decided to rest and made the pyramid from the grassess and flowers. Fter made a lot of pyramids they go to Liony house for bringing a Skin clothes.
One year later......
There was a rather big building with the junggle sceen, With natural music from the child of roads, nd there was a lot of child played together and read a book together. It’s a Beautiful Library that Arrna, Aura and Aurel dream it. And Liony thanked to God “ Thank God, You answer my request, and now, I have a good and beautiful formation like a Star in the sky”.       THE END
